Ramzan is Considered as a holy month by Muslims. It is the 9th month in the Urdu calendar. In Ramzan People fast From Dawn to Sunset i.e the fast start before the sunrise and ends with the sunset. People Spend Most Of the time remembering Allah (S.W.T) and Offering Prayers. Reciting Quran, Zakat i.e., a tax on wealth is given by the rich poor in this month.

The fast is broken at sunset by consuming fruits, Dates (Khajoor) is Usually Preferred to break the fast, water or salt can also be used which is then followed by other fruit after breaking the fast the fourth obligatory prayer of the day i.e., Maghrib prayer is performed.

The Tarawih prayer is an extra prayer which is performed only during the month of Ramzan along with the Last Obligatory Prayer-Ishan  (Shab-e-Qadr)


Some Famous Dishes which are Cooked in the month of Ramzan are –haleem, Dahi Vada, and Shirkorma.

The Month of Ramzan ends when a new moon is seen, either on 29 or on 30th.It is also Called as ‘Chand Raat’. The 1st day Of The Next Month is Celebrated as Eid-Ul-Fitr. People Meet and Greet Their Family Members, Friends, and Relatives, and Exchange gifts, Shirkorma is a sweet dish which is made on this Eid and served to the Guests.


In the Last 10 Days of Ramzan people stay awake the Whole Night & Pray It Is Done Every Alternative odd night i.e, on the night of 21,23,25,27& 29, These Nights are collectively known as ‘Taqt-Raat’ and ‘Shab-e-Qadr’ is one among them which is not Known to Everyone.
